Kimberley Welk, LMFT

Clinical Director

Kimberley Welk is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and has been practicing since 2006. She is the owner, CEO, clinical director, and a clinical supervisor for Kimberley Welk and Associates LLC | Family Therapy Center. Kimberley sees clients at the Green Bay office.

Her clientele base is quite diverse. Kim works with individuals, couples, families, and the intellectually disabled. Her approach to therapy is integrative, which allows therapy to be tailored to each individual client. She has training in EMDR therapy, trauma, and PREPARE/ENRICH which is an assessment for premarital and married couples. She has worked with diagnoses such as: depression, anxiety, anger management, grief, parenting skills building, suicide risk, personality disorders and much more.

She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where she obtained her Master of Science in Marriage & Family Therapy. Kim has a professional background in in-home therapy, academics as a college professor and student services director, and in private practice. In addition to being a prominent relationship therapist, Kimberley Welk has presented at the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy School Based Mental Health Network, Wisconsin Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Oxford University, and to general audiences speaking on a variety of topics.

CASSANDRA SCHRAFT, LPC

Cassy has practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since 2016. Cassy is the program director for the School Based Mental Health Program and sees clients out of the Green Bay office.

Cassy has experience providing counseling to individuals of all ages and from a wide variety of backgrounds, as well as presenting on various mental health topics to community providers and schools. She specializes in trauma treatment and is trained in TF-CBT, EMDR, and Flash Therapy. Cassy is also recognized as a member of the EMDRIA. She also has a special interest in working with LGBTQ+ individuals on issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity. Cassy’s experience also includes working with depression, anxiety, mood disorders, and personality disorders.

Cassy completed her undergraduate work at Iowa State University and her Master’s Degree at UW-Superior.  She uses an integrative approach to counseling and believes in treating the person as a whole.  She believes that everyone has the capacity for healing and understands that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counseling. Cassy focuses on creating an individualized experience in counseling to address the unique goals each person has for their healing journey.

Outside of the office, Cassy enjoys spending time with family, reading, crafts, and traveling. On weekends you can catch her in front of the TV watching Formula One, Formula E, and football.

Janice Proski, LPC

Janice Proski has practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) since 2018.  She currently works at the Green Bay office.

Janice has experience working with children, adolescents, individual adults, and couples from various backgrounds.  Her approach is integrative, and she has worked with a wide range of diagnoses such as: Anxiety, Depression, Anger Management, and Adjustment Issues.  She has training in brainspotting (phase II), EFT tapping, integrative nutrition for mental health, and suicide prevention.

Janice earned her Master’s Degree from Lakeland University.  She previously worked as a massage therapist and believes in a holistic, mind-body approach to counseling.  She has experience with in-home therapy, in-school therapy, and outpatient counseling.

Outside of the therapy room, Janice enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks with her dog, and reading.

Jennifer Geisler, LPC

Jennifer is a graduate from Northwestern University with her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has recently obtained her Licensed Professional Counselor credential. She has completed her Level 1 EMDR training, and can now provide EMDR treatment under supervision. She has also completed training in TF-CBT.

Jennifer works with clients of all ages (aged 5+) and of various backgrounds including LGBTQIA+, bariatric, perinatal, and neurodiverse populations. She specializes in depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. She also has experience working with a variety of other diagnoses and issues including but not limited to: ADHD, OCD, chronic illness, and grief.

Jen enjoys facilitating therapy at all levels and is open to working with individuals, couples, and families. Jen celebrates the uniqueness of each client and utilizes different therapeutic strategies to guide them at any stage of their journey.

Jordan Westfall, LPC-IT

Jordan is a recent Master’s Degree graduate from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with concentrations in children and adolescents, Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse (AODA), and crisis and trauma. She is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in training. She currently works in our Green Bay office and is directly supervised by Kimberley Welk.

Jordan has the most experience working with children and adolescents. She specializes in anxiety, mood disorders, and crisis and trauma. She also has experience working with a variety of other diagnoses including but not limited to Grief, ADHD, and LGBTQIA+ concerns. Jordan also has gained experience in case management.

Jordan is looking forward to gaining new skills and experience in telehealth through KWAFTC’s school-based mental health program. Outside of working with clients, Jordan enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and partner the most. She also loves listening to music, exercising, and traveling!

Amanda Swisher, LPC-IT

Amanda is a graduate from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She has completed her level one EMDR training, and can now provide EMDR treatment under supervision. 

Amanda works with clients of all ages across the lifespan from 5 years old on up. With backgrounds in various populations such as LGBTQIA+, the ENM community, and school based, to name just a few, she also specializes in Anxiety, Depression, and Grief. Additional areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, behavioral concerns, coping skill acquisition, navigation of divorce/blended family dynamics, peer relationships, self-esteem/confidence building, and trauma focused therapies. 

Amanda enjoys working with a wide variety of clientele, from individuals, to couples, to families. She enjoys accompanying her clients on their journey of healing and providing a warm, therapeutic atmosphere, infused with laughter and sensitivity. Meeting clients where they are is her greatest strength and she utilizes that to optimize their path to healing.

Karisa Koch, LPC-IT

Karisa graduated with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wisconsin Lutheran College in 2016 and has recently earned her Master’s degree in Counseling from Concordia University-Wisconsin. She sees clients in our Green Bay office as a Training-Licensed Professional Counselor and is directly supervised by Kimberley Welk and Cassandra Schraft.

Karisa has experience working with children and families through her work using ABA therapy with children with autism and through her time as an intern with the Shawano County Department of Human Services in the Child Protective Services unit. Her approach to therapy is integrative and uniquely tailored to each individual.

Karisa is excited to learn more about different approaches to therapy and utilize her abilities to help clients of all ages and backgrounds. Outside of therapy, Karisa enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, reading, and watching sports.

Tara Foytik, MFT-Intern

Tara Foytik is working on her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) through Capella University and is currently working as an MFT Intern in the Green Bay office.

Tara brings with her over 20 years in education. She has been a regular education teacher, special education teacher, and Dean of Students. Throughout her profession, Tara has not only worked with young children and adolescents, but with families and community agencies to ensure all are supported.

To Tara, therapy is based not only around individuals, but those systems that exist within their life. She is passionate about working with individuals (1:1), couples, and families in a welcoming environment in a relaxed setting. Tara’s systemic approach allows others to feel empowered to make the change they are hoping for.

Breanna Zold, LPC-Intern

Breanna Eger is working on her Masters Degree in Counseling (MAC) through Lakeland College and is currently working as a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern in the Green Bay office. 

Breanna has experience working with a vast array of populations such as adolescents, families, adults with developmental disabilities, and those who struggle with the disease of addiction. Breanna has worked in case management with treatment courts and juvenile court, as well as in  crisis facilities for both adults and adolescents. Additionally, she has volunteered with survivors of sexual assault through Family Services of Northeast Wisconsin. Breanna’s goal is to empower her clients to identify their strengths and the resilience within themselves to overcome life’s obstacles. Breanna is eager to learn more therapeutic techniques to further assist clients in achieving health and happiness. 

Outside of working with clients, Breanna enjoys traveling to tropical locations, staying active in the gym, spending time with her family and dogs, and finding the next good true crime thriller to read.

LMFT, Clinical Director

Owner, CEO, clinical director, and clinical supervisor. Kim uses a systemic approach to therapy and is also trained in EMDR.

Cassandra Schraft

LPC

Program director for the School Based Mental Health Program. She specializes in trauma treatment and is trained in TF-CBT, EMDR, and Flash Therapy.
